Journey Early Learning (Journey) is one of Australia’s leading providers of early childhood education with 28 childcare centres operating across Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
The acquisition of this 186 place centre adds to a growing portfolio of premium childcare centres operated by Journey and boosts the group’s total number of approved places to 2,850 children per day.
Speaking about the transaction, Anthony Smith, co-founder of Journey Early Learning said:
“We are delighted to welcome Eastside Early Learning to the Journey family. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality education and services for children and we are excited about what lies ahead for this centre and its team. With 186 approved places, the acquisition of this long day care centre will be our largest service in Queensland, growing Journey’s Queensland footprint to 10 centres.”
Lead lawyer Mary Grant commented:
“We are proud to have acted for Journey on this transaction. According to the ACECQA National Register, the number of Approved Services increased across the State by 3.24% last financial year, and this deal is further evidence of the continued buoyancy in the childcare sector and the demand for premium childcare centres across South-East Queensland”.
