United Waste Services is a fully integrated recycling and waste management services provider and is the leading provider in South East Queensland. The transaction, which closed on 1 July 2022, involved the sale of the following operating assets to BINGO:
- 4 recycling facilities located in Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast;
- a licensed landfill site at Sheldon (north of the Gold Coast);
- a mobile fleet of almost 40 waste collection vehicles, trucks and related equipment; and
- an inventory of more than 3,500 skip bins and hook bins.
The divestment of this well-established business will allow United Waste Services to continue growing strongly and provides BINGO with the opportunity to expand its east coast footprint into Queensland.
